We accept that it is impossible to know whether the objects that accompanied this woman in death were ones she chose herself, before her death, or items that her survivors selected to represent her. However, we do assume that deliberate choices were made about how to dress her for burial by people close to her, and that her desires and theirs were interlinked through decisions made about how to represent her.
